SUMMARY:All Levels Rope
DESCRIPTION:The Tuesday All Level runs on an 8-week rotation. At the start of each rotation we introduce a new harness structure. Over the subsequent 7 weeks we then approach that structure from multiple different directions and purposes\, both technical and interpersonal. How can we break down and alter the harness to make it work in certain ways? Can we tie it while moving/dancing/sitting/playfighting? How does it behave in suspension? How can we make it ornate\, or comfortable\, or robust? We also build skills and habits to keep the focus on the interaction between humans rather than the pattern. People approach rope from a myriad different directions\, motivations\, and interests\, so our classes should reflect that diversity of approach.  \n\n\n\nThe order of classes may change depending on the pace and needs of participants. See the curriculum of our rope track \n\n\n\n\nHarness Intro\n\n\n\nDeeper Dive/Different Versions/Magic Tips and Tricks\n\n\n\nTying with Movement/Ranboo\n\n\n\nPartial/Static Suspension (Upline Review)**\n\n\n\nInterview Metaphor\n\n\n\nSuspension with Transition Options (Upline Special Considerations)**\n\n\n\nFloorwork\n\n\n\nChallenges! \n\n\n\n\nAll Level classes are designed for partner work\, though you are welcome to attend solo and absorb information.  \n\n\n\nA brief note on suspension: \n\n\n\nYou don’t have to suspend in these classes! It’s pretty common that newer people choose not to suspend on their first ‘rotation’ through the All Levels class. Work at the pace that suits you\, make sure you feel comfortable with what you are doing\, and we will support you. Please note: Anyone who plans to suspend should attend the appropriate Uplines Friday class. We will briefly review uplines and/or cover special considerations for uplines for a particular tie\, but we will not teach uplines directly.  \n\n\n\nLoaner ropes are available. NO SUSPENSION with loaner ropes. \n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFineprint\n\n\n\n\nDate and Time: Every Tuesday\, 6.30pm – 9pm\n\n\n\nDuration: 2.5h\n\n\n\nFee: $35/person (member discounts available)\n\n\n\nPrerequisites: Basic understanding of knots and frictions\, safety and consent\, as well as movement and communication (Complete Intro to rope cycle).\n\n\n\nMaterial to bring: Bring your own ropes (we have loaner ropes available if you forget yours)\n\n\n\nFor individuals or pairs: Individuals will definitely learn something but the course is designed for pairs. \n\n\n\n\nPlease have a look at our policies and safety rules. \n\n\n\nStudio Allegory is on the ground floor and there are no steps anywhere in the space. There is a single washroom for all with a handle bar and an air hand dryer. We have unscented soap\, and we run an industrial air purifier automatically. Studio Allegory has a kitchen corner with a kettle and a coffee maker\, as well as a mini fridge and a microwave. Studio Allegory also has a quiet room equipped with fidget toys\, colouring books\, blankets\, noise cancelling earmuffs\, and stuffed animals. Upon request we can provide closed captions for our workshops running on a screen. We have masks for a small donation.  \n\n\n\n\nCancellation and refund policy:\n\n\n\n\nIf Studio Allegory has to cancel an event\, we will either refund ticket holders or transfer tickets to similar events in the future\, depending on the wishes of the ticket holder.  \n\n\n\nCancellation by participants: Cancellation before 48h prior to the start of the event entitles the ticket holder to a full refund. Between 48h and the start of the workshop\, we can provide a partial refund (50% minus payment processing fees.) or transfer of the ticket to a similar event in the future. \n\n\n\nNo refund or transfer can be offered for no-shows or cancellation after the event has started.

SUMMARY:Orientation - For Newcomers to Kink
DESCRIPTION:New to kink and don’t know where to start? Interested in going to events but you don’t know how to behave\, what to wear\, what to do? You are definitely not alone and going to your first kink event can be quite intimidating. This barrier free newcomer orientation helps people who are brand new to take their first steps into the fascinating world of kink. \nWhat to expect\nPart 1 — The first part is a conversation with the participants about the world of kink: Etiquette online and offline\, expectations\, dress codes at events\, possibilities and some recommendations\, especially for single folks. \nPart 2 —We go through a few of the most common kinks: bondage\, impact\, Dominance/submission\, fetishes\, etc. Participants can see how it feels to hold a flogger or be tied up. \nPart 3 — The last part is all about the open questions of the participants: Where to go from here? What to do with this or that fantasy? How to find someone to play with? And many more questions answered.

SUMMARY:Differential Geometry for P*rverts
DESCRIPTION:Kink\, and within it rope bondage\, is often seen through one particular lens\, that of eroticism\, but what if we are looking for similarities in completely different fields?Higher mathematics doesn’t seem to have anything in common with rope bondage but only a quick look offers a vast variety of tools that can be embedded in the context of rope bondage. After all\, tying rope onto someone is nothing but applied differential geometry. \n\n\n\nWe will look at triangles and their behaviour when we leave a flat plane. We are using the Pythagorean theorem for measuring distances on Euclidean surfaces and see how Gauss\, Riemann\, and Einstein made it possible to do that on curved surfaces.A bit of general relativity with its geodesics and relativistic mechanics can help us understand some of the intricacies of rope bondage. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is first and foremost for people who wonder\, who are curious and not only for those with a strong interest in mathematics\, physics\, and engineering. The contexts we will use will enable participants to understand ropes better and help them with trouble shooting \n\n\n\nDetails
 \n\n\n\n\nPrerequisites: Curiosity
\n\n\n\nMaterial to bring:
Note-taking material\n\n\n\nFor individuals or pairs:
Any Constellation welcome\n\n\n\nWho is this for:
Queer and friends\n\n\n\n\nPlease have a look at our policies and safety rules. Each participants needs a completed release of liability (“waiver”) \n\n\n\nTicketsAvailable at the door or here: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFineprint \n\n\n\n\nAccessibility:Studio Allegory is on the ground floor and there are no steps anywhere in the space. SUMMARY:"It's not the TK's fault" - Hybrid TK lab series in collaboration w Karada House
DESCRIPTION:The Takate Kote\, short just TK\, and its variations is one of the most tied structured patterns in the rope world. No matter if hands in the front or in the back\, if you tie a stemless TK or one with a stem\, whether you have Kannukis or not\, the TK is for sure a tie that has led to countless arguments amongst those who tie it regularly as well as against those who refuse to tie it for this or that reason. \n\n\n\nA standout quality of the TK is the fact that it is comprised of basically all fundamental techniques used in Shibari. Learning the TK isn’t limited to just learning a pattern but rather it allows to comprehend most of what is needed to tie with each other\, from proper tensions and placements\, all kinds of frictions and hitches\, as well as basic anatomy and rope handling. \n\n\n\nWe will not only demystify the Takate Kote but we will also look into the intricacies of it. We will work on it from the ground up and participants will get a picture as complete as possible about the advantages and disadvantages of various TK’s. What is it for\, when can we use which and what are the compatibilities and incompatibilities between different variations of the TK. \n\n\n\nPART 1 (JULY 27TH\, 2025\, 10am – 1PM PST)– Myths and monsters – why it’s not the TK’s fault if it’s boring or unsafe.– Principles of the TK – actually grounded in physics and not in tradition.– Complete structure of a TK \n\n\n\nPART 2 (AUGUST 3RD\, 2025\, 10am – 1PM PST)– Variations with hands low or high– Variations of the so-called “3rd rope”– Attachment points for suspensions and variations to support more up-line points. \n\n\n\nNote:This hybrid class can be visited via zoom AND in person. The in-person class is located at Studio Allegory in Vancouver\, Canada.
SUMMARY:Kinky Thursdays - Managing Poly & Kink
DESCRIPTION:Many kinksters are also in polyamorous relationships or have multiple play partners.
