Two types of events

Generally speaking, there are two different types of events you can visit.

Educational

Structured learning with a facilitator and a plan. Great for building skills and knowledge in a safe, guided environment.

Social

Open and unstructured. Come to connect, mingle, watch, play, or relax in our library.

Your first visit – step by step

1

Sign the waiver

The first step is to sign our waiver – a standard procedure to ensure you are aware of the risks. The waiver needs to be signed with a legal name, but you can use your chosen name for your profile and we will only ever refer to you by your chosen name.

2

Get your ticket

You can get your ticket directly from the event page, or just come to the event and get it at the door. If an event has a limited number of tickets, we will announce that on the event page directly.

3

Arrive & check in

After ringing the doorbell, someone from our community will open the door and welcome you. We check you in at the front desk and verify your waiver and ticket – or get you sorted right there. You can pay with all major credit cards, debit, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Then you take your shoes off, hang your jacket, and someone will give you a little tour.

Enjoy

Educational Events

You’re in a structured class with a facilitator and a plan. Follow along, ask questions, and participate.

Social Events

No plan – just mingle, watch, play, or read in our library. Some social events have a small voluntary skillshare at the start.

Before you come

Please have a look at the house rules to make sure you don’t accidentally miss something or do something that would limit your ability to come back. Read our Policie
